The role of Event Coordinator at the Michaels store in Richmond-Willow Lawn, VA, involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating a variety of events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes, to create a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests of all ages. The position requires delivering exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers in finding products, providing solutions, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Additionally, the event coordinator performs operational tasks such as unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold Michaels' brand promises. This role is dynamic and demands a blend of customer service, event management, and operational skills. The coordinator will plan and manage multiple concurrent events, engage with participants ranging from young children to seniors, and creatively instruct party activities including craft projects and face painting.
