The role of Housekeeping Supervisor at OTO Development is a vital position within the housekeeping department responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, and hallways meet the highest standards of cleanliness and order. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this hourly position plays an essential role in coordinating cleaning schedules and maintenance activities in collaboration with front desk and maintenance staff to align with guest needs. A significant aspect of this role involves managing the housekeeping team through training, coaching, and supervision to maintain daily operational standards and deliver superior service quality. The Housekeeping Supervisor also supervises inventory management including verifying laundry completion, restocking supplies, and monitoring the safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals. This position requires strong leadership skills to effectively develop work schedules, manage labor costs, assist in hiring processes, and review employee performance. Additionally, the Housekeeping Supervisor participates actively in safety committees and serves as an emergency responder, further ensuring the wellbeing of staff and guests. Individuals in this role will be undertaking physically demanding tasks such as regular cleaning duties and inspections, therefore must be comfortable with standing, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.
