The role of Assistant General Manager at Double Tree Charlotte Airport is a crucial leadership position designed to oversee the Rooms, Food and Beverage, and Engineering divisions of the hotel. This position acts as the pivotal link between the General Manager and departmental managers, ensuring that all operational standards meet or exceed the hotel's quality and financial goals. The Assistant General Manager is entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining and improving satisfaction levels among guests and staff alike, while striving to maximize revenue and manage costs effectively. This role demands vigilance in financial oversight, including budget compliance, invoice processing, and monthly financial forecasting, ensuring the hotel remains on target with both short-term and long-term goals. A key part of this position involves the strategic development of programs that enhance guest experiences and promote operational excellence. The Assistant General Manager takes an active role in guest relations, promptly addressing and resolving complaints and ensuring all safety and security protocols are rigorously followed. Furthermore, the role requires supervision of maintenance activities to keep all parts of the property in optimal condition, thereby maintaining a pristine and inviting atmosphere for guests. The Assistant General Manager is also responsible for fostering a positive workplace environment, motivating, coaching, and disciplining team members in alignment with PAH Management’s Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s). This leadership extends to ensuring that all managers adequately conduct performance appraisals, participate in recruitment and training, and comply with regulatory laws and internal policies. The job involves active presence during peak times to greet guests and support sales efforts by engaging with clients touring the property. Successful candidates will bring a strong background in hotel management with progressive experience. They must demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills, a service-oriented approach, and the capacity to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.   • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • Or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years of related experience
  • Or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years of related experience
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and written with all levels of employees and guests
  • Must be effective at listening to and clarifying concerns
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize functions to meet deadlines
  • Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with scheduling needs
