The role involves performing a range of housekeeping tasks such as wiping surfaces, dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, making beds, and restocking room supplies. Housekeepers ensure bathrooms are spotless, trash is removed, and environmentally friendly practices are followed as trained by the hotel. Additionally, the role includes interacting with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, supporting the maintenance team by reporting any defective or missing items, and working collaboratively with other hotel departments to achieve the overall goals of the property.
This position involves considerable physical activity including continuous movement, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items up to 25 pounds. Housekeepers must have the stamina to stand and walk for full shifts and perform repetitive motions efficiently. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is also required, ensuring coverage during peak times and maintaining consistent service levels.
