This role is an essential part of Cascadia Healthcare's commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. The position involves regular cleaning and sanitizing of resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms, and other parts of the facility. The successful candidate will demonstrate pride and ownership in the condition of the facility, understanding that cleanliness directly impacts the quality of life for residents and the overall impression for visitors and staff. In this full-time role, working Friday through Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, the employee will be responsible for safely mixing and using cleaning solutions, properly labeling and disposing of infectious waste, and ensuring punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and facility staff, showing patience and politeness at all times. Knowledge of infection control techniques is vital to maintaining a safe environment. - High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job
