This full-time Housekeeper role at Ventana by Buckner involves working rotating shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, five days a week. The primary responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the community to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeper will clean and service resident rooms, bathrooms, offices, and common areas to meet the high-quality standards established by Ventana. Duties include dusting furniture and equipment, cleaning windows and light globes, emptying trash baskets, replenishing supplies, polishing surfaces such as bathtubs, sinks, and mirrors, and maintaining floor cleanliness by mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing. Additional responsibilities include mixing and diluting housekeeping chemicals safely according to instructions, performing minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs and fixing clogged sinks or drains, supporting the dietary unit during meal preparation and cleanup, reporting any equipment issues or hazardous conditions promptly, and observing and reporting any notable changes in resident health or behavior. The Housekeeper also assists with general office tasks and performs special assignments or projects as required by management. The role demands a good understanding of housekeeping operations and the ability to handle cleaning devices and chemicals correctly. Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with residents, their families, visitors, and coworkers, as well as following oral and written instructions accurately. Physically, the job requires stamina and the ability to move equipment frequently, sometimes requiring lifting of up to 100 pounds. The candidate should be able to work under close supervision, performing routine tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and a respectful attitude towards all residents and staff.
