The Housekeeper role at Notre Dame Health Care Center offers both full-time and per diem employment opportunities. Housekeepers are responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties within the nursing home, predominantly during daytime hours. This ensures that the facility meets the highest standards of hygiene and comfort. As a Housekeeper, you will be tasked with general housekeeping responsibilities such as collecting and disposing of trash according to approved procedures and infection control protocols, cleaning resident and employee areas including bathrooms, and ensuring floors are dusted and damp mopped appropriately. You will also handle moving equipment and furniture effectively to clean underneath and around them, then replacing items in their correct positions. Additional duties include washing walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards to uphold the facility's cleanliness. A key part of this role is taking initiative by noticing areas that require attention and completing cleaning tasks proactively. This responsibility is vital to maintaining the safe environment expected in a healthcare setting. The Housekeeper will also be required to work every other weekend and some paid holidays, reflecting the facility’s commitment to continuous care and cleanliness.
