This janitorial or housekeeping position is vital to ensuring that every resident enjoys a sanitary, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, public areas, offices, and other facility spaces in accordance with established procedures, promoting a high standard of sanitation at all times. The position involves handling duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures, cleaning windows and mirrors, and managing waste disposal. Additionally, the role requires cooperation with other departments such as maintenance to report any hazards or necessary repairs, working with admissions to prepare rooms for incoming residents, and supporting laundry operations. Employees will also be involved in infection control protocols and maintaining supply inventories to support hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to remain calm under pressure and interact effectively with residents, their families, colleagues, and external officials.
