The role of Hourly Sous Chef at The Academy/Zion's Bank Stadium is a vital position responsible for directly supervising food-service associates to ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are consistently met. This hourly position offers a competitive pay range of $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, reflecting the valued expertise and leadership skills required. As an Hourly Sous Chef, you will play a crucial part in the daily operations of the kitchen, overseeing employee training, scheduling, and performance management while maintaining compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. You will be instrumental in advising management on purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding shortages, ensuring the smooth supply chain and operational efficiency of the kitchen.
Additionally, adherence to food safety guidelines, including HACCP protocols, is an essential aspect of this role to safeguard quality and ensure safe food preparation practices. The Hourly Sous Chef will be responsible for managing food storage logistics, proper labelling, and food rotation to minimize spoilage and waste, while also performing hands-on tasks such as food preparation, equipment operation, and cleaning duties. This role requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, where being present during meal service times allows the capture of direct customer feedback for continuous improvement. - High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
