The On-Site Manager role at Sandpiper Hospitality presents a unique and impactful leadership opportunity. This position requires living on-site at the hotel or being within 30 minutes when on call to guarantee flawless hotel operations at all times. As a vital partner to the General Manager (GM), the On-Site Manager assumes full managerial responsibilities, particularly overseeing weekend operations and providing overnight on-call coverage from Wednesday through Sunday. In this high-responsibility role, you act as the Manager on Duty, ensuring that every aspect of the hotel — from guest services to team leadership and operational execution — meets the highest brand and company standards. The role demands strong leadership skills, operational oversight, and a hands-on approach to managing the front desk team, weekend staff, and property culture.
The On-Site Manager is responsible for managing the front desk team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and conducting performance appraisals. You will supervise all weekend activities involving front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams while supporting financial and administrative tasks like payroll review, budget monitoring, and inventory control. Guest experience is paramount, so you will regularly engage with guests to solicit feedback, resolve issues, and maintain security. In addition, you support the GM in sales efforts to maximize hotel revenues through proactive prospecting.
