The role of Host Staff at Beatrix is a pivotal front-of-house position responsible for creating the first and lasting impression of the restaurant to every guest. Hosts warmly welcome and seat guests, manage telephone calls including reservations and messages, maintain accurate guest counts and estimated wait times, and assist with coat check duties as needed. Hosts serve as ambassadors of hospitality, ensuring each guest feels valued and receives attentive service throughout their visit. This role demands a positive attitude, excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to multitask efficiently under varying restaurant conditions which may include ambient noise, temperature changes, and navigating crowded spaces. Physical aspects of the job include standing and walking for the entirety of shifts, safely lifting and moving furniture and seating, and adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
