We are currently hiring for the position of Host/Hostess, a vital role within our restaurant team. This position is a part-time or full-time hourly role with pay ranging from $16.50 to $17.00 depending on location and experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Restaurant Manager, the Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests as they arrive. The host or hostess greets and seats guests in a warm and courteous manner, ensuring that each guest's dining experience begins on a positive note. Beyond seating, the Host/Hostess manages guest waiting lists, provides information about promotions, takes initial beverage orders, and assists other service personnel to maintain smooth restaurant operations. The role demands a strong focus on guest satisfaction and effective communication, with responsibilities that include handling guest concerns promptly and courteously, safely managing payment transactions, and maintaining clean and inviting front-of-house areas. The Host/Hostess must also be physically capable of standing and walking throughout their shift and able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. This position requires adherence to Denny's brand standards and operating procedures, promoting a team-oriented environment where employees support one another.
