Join the Waldorf Astoria Resort Maui team as a Host/Hostess in the Food and Beverage Department, where your role is critical to delivering an outstanding first impression and exceptional guest service. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the welcoming face of the resort's renowned dining venues, responsible for greeting guests warmly and escorting them to their seats. This position is part-time and union-affiliated, with a competitive pay rate of $24.59 per hour. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, weekdays, and holidays, ensuring seamless service during peak and off-peak hours.
Your primary responsibilities include managing seating arrangements and flow, maintaining an organized seating chart to optimize dining room capacity and efficiency, and assisting with opening and closing restaurant duties as needed. Additionally, you will support your team by performing side work tasks such as cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware. Essential to the role is possessing a thorough knowledge of the menu to answer guest inquiries confidently and provide timely, friendly assistance, enhancing the overall guest experience. Collaboration is key, so you will also work closely with fellow team members and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and uphold the Waldorf Astoria's esteemed standards of hospitality.
