Hosts are expected to accommodate various customer groups, including families with children, large parties, and business clientele. Hosts must also be knowledgeable about the menu and current specials to answer guest questions effectively and may be tasked with merchandise sales. The To-Go role centers on managing takeout orders via phone, delivery apps, online platforms, or walk-ins. The individual in this role ensures order accuracy, efficient order packaging, timely service, and handles payments. Like the Host role, being well-informed about menu offerings is essential to suggest items and provide accurate information to customers. The Staff role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant, including the parking lot, front of house, restrooms, and wait stations.
