As a full-time Hospice Aide at Gentiva Hospice, you will play a vital role in providing hands-on personal care and emotional support to terminally ill patients. This position is ideal for compassionate individuals who find meaning in delivering comfort, dignity, and peace to patients during life’s most meaningful moments. The Hospice Aide supports patients by assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, mobility, meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping duties. In addition to physical care, the role requires keen observation skills to identify any changes in the patient's physical or mental condition and communicate them promptly to the healthcare team. Emotional support to patients and their families is another critical aspect of this role, ensuring that both patients and their loved ones feel heard, comforted, and supported throughout the hospice process.
