The role of Building Services Porter is critical in maintaining the functional and aesthetic quality of the corporate headquarters facilities. This part-time position, located at Hastings, MI headquarters, involves working 20 hours per week during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Building Services Porter plays an essential role in day-to-day facility upkeep including cleaning, minor maintenance, and landscaping tasks within an expansive 151,500 square foot building and its surrounding grounds. Primary responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in public spaces, offices, restrooms, and conference rooms, as well as performing small repairs such as lighting and carpeting maintenance. The porter supports office moves, workstation adjustments, and meeting room setup or teardown, ensuring smooth facility operations. Outdoor responsibilities include light upkeep of lawns, walkways, parking areas, and landscaping beds, along with the use of sprinkling systems. Safety procedures are strictly followed, including careful use of any hazardous cleaning chemicals. The porter is expected to collaborate effectively with the facilities team and contribute to special projects and professional development activities.
