The role of Hospice Care Consultant (HCC) at Heartland Hospice is a strategic sales position centered on building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with referral partners in the healthcare community. As a key brand ambassador, the HCC educates and informs healthcare professionals about the hospice services offered, ensuring that patients receive appropriate referrals at the right time. This role involves engaging hospitals, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, clinics, and physician offices to foster meaningful conversations about patient needs. The consultant plans and executes strategic marketing initiatives that increase awareness while driving referral growth. Representing Heartland Hospice at community events, professional associations, and educational sessions is a vital part of this position, ensuring that hospice services are well promoted. The Hospice Care Consultant is also a patient and family advocate, helping them understand hospice care options and the benefits of early referrals.                 - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
 - Minimum 2 years experience in healthcare sales, business development, or referral marketing
 - Existing relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities or home health professionals
 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
 - Sensitivity to the needs of terminally ill patients and families
 - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
 - Willingness to represent the company at community and professional events
