The Event Bartender plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional experience for guests by preparing all alcoholic beverages, actively taking orders, and delivering comprehensive food and beverage service. Responsibilities include maintaining professional appearance standards, anticipating and accommodating guest needs, providing timely and professional service, accurately entering orders into the POS system, and adhering to cash and payment card procedures. The Event Bartender must have knowledge of allergies and dietary restrictions relevant to each event and ensure compliance with all state regulations, Department of Health standards, and company sanitation policies while serving alcoholic beverages. Setting up the bar and event stations properly, performing opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and accurately completing financial procedures at the end of each shift are vital duties. Collaboration and communication with banquet and kitchen staff, managers, and other team members are essential for seamless service execution. The position requires participation in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings, fostering continuous learning and team development. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of professional beverage experience, prior bartending experience, and familiarity with high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge settings. Physical demands include the ability to kneel, bend, stand for long periods, move quickly, and lift or push up to 50 pounds. The working environment can involve varying noise levels, crowds, smoke, and exposure to kitchen and cleaning materials. Flexibility to work irregular and extended shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
