The role of Maintenance Technician II at Colonial Estates in Springfield, MA, is critical to the upkeep and smooth functioning of the property under limited supervision while reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. This full-time, nonexempt position offers an hourly wage between $24.00 and $28.00, with the actual compensation influenced by factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location. New hires also benefit from a $1,000 sign-on bonus structured as $500 payable with the first paycheck and an additional $500 after 90 days of employment. The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing skilled maintenance tasks across multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, painting, and heating/air conditioning, though tasks requiring a license are excluded. The role involves general repairs, preventive maintenance, emergency on-call service, snow removal, and groundskeeping duties like mowing lawns and pruning.
