The current opportunity is for the role of a Cafe/Barista, a vital position within Ethos Hospitality’s energetic cafe team. This role is designed for individuals passionate about food and beverage preparation and education, who are committed to delivering outstanding customer service. As a Cafe/Barista, you will be the face of the cafe, warmly welcoming customers, answering their queries, taking orders, and processing payments efficiently. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, milkshakes, and specialty items tailored to customer specifications. Beyond drink preparation, the position requires maintaining a clean and well-organized workspace and dining area, updating displays, and undertaking prep work for in-house cocktail ingredients as well as producing items for the cold-pressed juice program. Additionally, the Cafe/Barista will be responsible for operating and cleaning coffee machines, blenders, beverage dispensers, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of restaurant areas including dry storage and cooler spaces. This role demands adherence to strict food safety regulations and quality controls, ensuring that every product served meets the high standards Ethos Hospitality sets. Candidates must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment as part of a high-energy and collaborative team, dedicated to building good customer relationships and ensuring speedy delivery of beverages and food products. Physical stamina is essential, as the job requires standing, bending, and walking for extended periods, with the ability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds. Availability during peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays, is required to meet the operational needs of the cafe.
