The role of Housekeeper/Room Attendant is a vital position within the hotel’s operations. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas throughout the hotel property. Attention to detail and adherence to company standards and safety/security procedures are critical components of this role. The Housekeeper/Room Attendant services guest rooms daily, replenishing supplies, replacing bed linens, and ensuring that all cleaning tasks meet the high standards expected by Avantic Lodging Enterprises. This position requires the ability to work during the night shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, including weekends and holidays, underscoring the importance of reliability and commitment. The Housekeeper/Room Attendant must also demonstrate a strong focus on guest service by approaching all encounters with a friendly and service-oriented attitude. The role involves a variety of physical tasks that require stamina and strength, including lifting items ranging from 20 to 50 pounds, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and walking extensively. Therefore, candidates must be physically capable of performing these duties in a fast-paced hotel environment. Additionally, the role demands effective communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members, including the ability to convey information and ideas succinctly and to listen attentively to resolve concerns. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, though related experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping is preferred.
