The Banquets Manager role at Aimbridge Hospitality is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Banquet Department with a strong focus on cost control and delivering exceptional guest services. This position directly influences the successful execution of banquets, events, and functions by managing all aspects including setup, serving, and cleanup. The Banquets Manager is entrusted with hiring, training, coaching, and reviewing banquet staff to ensure every event meets the company’s high standards of excellence. This leadership role requires a blend of administrative acumen and hands-on oversight. The successful candidate will regularly direct the work of multiple full-time associates, performing executive and professional tasks more than 50 percent of the time. The position demands the use of discretion and independent judgment in decision-making processes to maintain efficiency and uphold guest satisfaction. The Banquets Manager is expected to embody a service-oriented mindset, approach all guest and employee interactions with friendliness and professionalism, and maintain composure under pressure in high-stress situations. Additional responsibilities include preparing staff schedules, managing payroll and tip distributions, coordinating banquet food and beverage needs, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining inventory levels. The role also involves active participation in management meetings, conducting training sessions, supervising banquet captains and hourly staff, and assisting with special promotions or changes initiated by senior management.
