The role of Room Attendant at the Grand Hyatt Nashville is essential to maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This full-time position involves a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring that each guest’s room is immaculate, comfortable, and well-stocked every day. The Room Attendant will be responsible for making beds, replenishing in-room supplies like drinking glasses, toiletries, and writing materials, and thoroughly cleaning guest rooms along with public spaces such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, and restrooms. Additional cleaning duties include vacuuming carpets and upholstery, dusting furniture and fixtures, washing walls and windows, and polishing metalwork to keep the hotel looking pristine.
A successful candidate for this role will take pride in their attention to detail and ability to perform physically demanding tasks with consistency and care. Tasks also extend to handling linens, including collecting soiled linens for laundering, operating washing equipment, folding clean linens, and maintaining organized storage. The position requires alertness to possible maintenance issues, which the attendant should promptly report to ensure timely repairs and upkeep. Moreover, the Room Attendant must be able to interact positively with guests by greeting them and addressing queries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
This role requires the ability to follow instructions accurately, perform repetitive tasks with consistency, and manage physical activities that involve standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
