The role of Porter at Tao Group Hospitality is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary condition, and overall safety of the venue. Porters play a crucial role in ensuring that the environment is clean, orderly, and compliant with health and safety standards. As a Porter, you will interact courteously with team members, guests, and supervisors to uphold the gracious hospitality Tao Group is known for. The role involves anticipating and accommodating the needs of both guests and staff, providing support and training to fellow team members, and possessing general knowledge of the venue's food and beverage offerings as well as retail merchandise if applicable. Porters are responsible for compliance with all department of health standards and Tao Group’s specific safety codes. Duties include ensuring the venue’s maintenance and cleanliness, reporting any equipment damage, proper garbage and linen management, and keeping all walkways clear and swept. Proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies is mandatory. Additionally, Porters will handle setting up sanitation areas and performing side-work related to opening and closing procedures. Participation in daily briefings and continuous training is expected to maintain high standards and team cohesion. This position often demands physical endurance such as the ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift items up to 50 lbs. Porters may work in environments subject to noise, crowds, smoke, and exposure to hot kitchen elements and cleaning chemicals. The schedule may involve irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintaining a professional and neat appearance at all times is required along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Basic understanding and ability to converse in English
• experience in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge preferred
• 21 plus years of age due to nightlife/daylife requirements
