The Helicopter Program Manager (HPM) plays a critical role within FlightSafety International by overseeing the operation and management of the assigned Helicopter Pilot Training Program(s) at the respective Learning Center. This role ensures that all aspects of the helicopter training program meet stringent regulatory standards, customer expectations, and FlightSafety’s Quality Management System (QMS) policies. The Program Manager is responsible for supervising customer training activities, instructor performance, training materials, and compliance with regulatory authorities such as the FAA and JAA. Key responsibilities include maintaining instructor qualifications, facilitating continuous instructor training, monitoring the quality and integrity of the teaching process, updating lesson plans and training documentation, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth program delivery. This position demands a strong foundation in aviation training principles, leadership abilities to manage a diverse team of instructors, and exceptional organizational skills to handle dynamic and high-pressure environments. The Helicopter Program Manager may also take on instructor duties as required, providing direct flight, simulator, or ground instruction. The role requires ensuring that all equipment and training devices are maintained and operated in conformity with regulatory and company standards, and that the delivery of the helicopter training program aligns with FlightSafety's commitment to excellence. In addition to the operational oversight, the HPM fosters teamwork and communication within the Learning Center’s management and broader corporate network, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer requirements.   • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum six months experience in adult teaching or training environment
  • Up-to-date instructor certifications and pilot instructor qualifications
  • Ability to maintain instructor performance standards in compliance with FlightSafety QMS processes
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements from FAA and JAA
  • Fluency in English communication both verbal and written
  • Physical capability to perform simulator and aircraft control manipulation
  • Experience in relevant helicopter lines or operations preferred
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic schedules and high-pressure situations
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Willingness to conduct hands-on supervision and instructor evaluations
