The role of Health and Safety Manager that we are currently offering is pivotal to our water treatment project operations in the East Bay. This position involves overseeing occupational health and safety programs across one or more project sites within a specific district, ensuring all safety regulations and company standards are strictly followed. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing safety trends, managing incident records, and leading safety orientations and trainings to maintain a robust safety culture. They will work collaboratively with project staff and industry experts to develop and implement safety procedures that mitigate risks and comply with all regulatory requirements. This role requires a dynamic leader who can provide technical expertise in equipment maintenance, training, inspections, and emergency response planning. Furthermore, the Health and Safety Manager will review and approve safety documentation such as Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA), Jobsite Hazard Analysis (JHA), and worksite safety and evacuation plans. Ideal candidates will preferably have experience in heavy civil construction projects related to water or wastewater treatment facilities (WTP/WWTP). However, experience in heavy civil or industrial mechanical construction environments is also applicable and considered valuable.
