The role of Health and Safety Manager that we are currently offering is pivotal to our water treatment project operations in the East Bay. This position involves overseeing occupational health and safety programs across one or more project sites within a specific district, ensuring all safety regulations and company standards are strictly followed. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing safety trends, managing incident records, and leading safety orientations and trainings to maintain a robust safety culture. They will work collaboratively with project staff and industry experts to develop and implement safety procedures that mitigate risks and comply with all regulatory requirements. This role requires a dynamic leader who can provide technical expertise in equipment maintenance, training, inspections, and emergency response planning. Furthermore, the Health and Safety Manager will review and approve safety documentation such as Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA), Jobsite Hazard Analysis (JHA), and worksite safety and evacuation plans. Ideal candidates will preferably have experience in heavy civil construction projects related to water or wastewater treatment facilities (WTP/WWTP). However, experience in heavy civil or industrial mechanical construction environments is also applicable and considered valuable. • bachelor's degree in health & safety or a related field preferred
• 8+ years' experience in construction or safety

• proven skill to identify onsite project safety risks
• expert knowledge of construction site equipment, methods and processes
• strong verbal, written and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
