The University of Colorado Athletic Dining Facility is seeking a motivated and skilled culinary professional for a hands-on culinary working position. This role provides oversight and leadership within the Athletic Dining Facility, working under the supervision of the Executive and Sous Chefs. The primary responsibilities involve preparing, assigning, and delegating the preparation of standardized recipes while ensuring the highest quality, allergen safety, and food safety standards. This position is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service within a collaborative and supportive environment. The role requires adherence to the Athletic Department's Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, as well as all pertinent policies, procedures, and NCAA regulations. The position is full-time University Staff employment type, with an anticipated schedule from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM including nights and weekends as required by operational needs. The starting salary range for this position is $41,844 to $43,846 annually. The culinary role mandates a strong knowledge of kitchen preparation and operation, ensuring cleanliness, quality assurance, and compliance with food safety protocols and allergen standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for food prep, assembly, delegating food preparation tasks, and setting up and breaking down production and service areas. They will proficiently utilize a variety of kitchen equipment and consistently maintain food safety protocols to prevent cross-contact of allergens. Superior customer service skills are essential, and the candidate will lead by example with a positive, productive demeanor and effective communication skills.
