This role offers a fixed pay rate of $28.00 per hour and requires candidates to have prior high-volume, high-end catering experience. The schedule is full-time with varying days and hours, requiring open availability to meet the dynamic needs of the campus dining operations. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef, assisting in preparing and cooking foods, coordinating the activities of cooks and food-service associates, and assuming responsibility for the kitchen and staff in the absence of the Executive Chef. This position is integral to maintaining high culinary standards and ensuring excellent service delivery across all food service operations on campus. Responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum from food preparation and supervision of kitchen staff to compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. The Sous Chef is expected to manage inventory, monitor production and waste, and engage professionally with customers to resolve any complaints efficiently.
