Cargo Handlers at Modern Aviation are responsible for managing the loading, unloading, staging, and securing of cargo, including Unit Load Device (ULD) containers, in accordance with airline or customer load plans. The role requires operating heavy equipment such as belt loaders, k-loaders, and deice trucks, and ensuring the accuracy of airway bills, manifests, and other cargo documentation. Cargo security is paramount, and handlers must conduct thorough checks of dangerous goods and hazardous materials in adherence to TSA, FAA, IS-BAH, DOT, and OSHA regulations. Additionally, the Cargo Handler serves as a key liaison between the company and its customers by effectively communicating and delivering exceptional customer service.
