The role available is for a Food Service Staff Lead, a full-time position working 10 months per year for approximately 30 hours per week under the supervision of the Food Service Area Supervisor. The employment grade is H-07 with a pay range of $14.61 to $19.03 per hour. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high standards in food preparation, service, and sanitation across the schools. The Food Service Staff Lead is responsible for managing a variety of food preparation and service tasks connected with the smooth operation of school kitchens. This includes overseeing food quality to ensure compliance with nutritious school meal requirements mandated by federal and state regulations. The role involves collaboration with school staff and other stakeholders to support student wellness and promote healthy food choices, fostering an environment conducive to learning.   • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Requires at least two years of experience in the food service industry
  • ServSafe certification required
  • Knowledge of food service, sanitation, safety, and HACCP requirements
  • Basic knowledge of current federal and state regulations related to school nutrition programs
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others
  • Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications
  • Ability to follow directions, both written and oral in English to ensure safety of food preparation and service
