Located in Tampa, Florida, North American Roofing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Driver to join their dynamic team. This position focuses on inventory management and efficient transportation of materials to various job sites within Florida and the Southeast region. The role is integral to supporting the company’s operational success by ensuring all materials are managed, accounted for, and securely delivered where needed.
The Warehouse Driver will be responsible for a variety of tasks including packing, unpacking, palletizing, wrapping, and moving roofing materials. They will oversee inventory control in the warehouse, ensuring accurate documentation and accountability of all stored materials. This role requires skillful use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts to load delivery vehicles safely. The driver will transport materials using company vehicles, sometimes including trailers, to various job locations. This role demands both physical endurance and attention to detail, as it involves handling heavy materials (up to 80 pounds), climbing ladders to access rooftops, and working in diverse weather conditions.
Candidates must be certified by the Department of Transportation (DOT), capable of passing DOT physical exams and drug tests, and able to navigate motor vehicle record checks. The job is a hybrid environment combining office work, warehouse tasks, and work on commercial rooftops at varying heights. The position also offers occasional weekend and overnight travel up to 25 percent of the time to meet production and service needs.
