Northern Hospitality Group is a prominent and fast-growing hospitality company based in the scenic state of Alaska. The company owns and operates a diverse portfolio of restaurants, hotels, and breweries primarily located in Anchorage and Denali National Park, two of Alaska’s most vibrant tourist and community hubs. Northern Hospitality Group prides itself on its commitment to innovation, creativity, and exemplary hospitality, rooted in the best locally crafted goods. Their vision to "Share Alaska with the world" is central to their mission of transforming the community by delivering legendary customer experiences. By fostering an inclusive, team-oriented culture founded on core values of being legendary, honorable, and united as one team, the company continues to grow and seek passionate leaders who share their vision and embody their values. The Greeter / Host / Hostess position at Northern Hospitality Group plays a vital role in shaping the guest experience, serving as the initial and final point of contact for customers entering and leaving the establishment. This role is crucial for coordinating the activities of the dining room and setting the tone for an inviting and seamless dining experience. As a Greeter, you will oversee the organization and cleanliness of the host stand, greet guests warmly with a smile, escort them to their tables while engaging them with genuine conversation, and present menus. Your responsibilities will extend beyond greeting; you will manage the flow of customers during service, coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to control seating and wait times effectively, and maintain a clean and organized environment throughout the dining area, entryway, and restrooms. This role often involves additional tasks such as taking accurate waitlist information, processing takeout orders, assisting with food running and bussing, and ensuring guests depart with a positive final impression. The company places a high emphasis on professionalism and appearance for this position, recommending minimal jewelry, maintaining neat and clean hair tied back in a ponytail, avoiding excessive perfume, and keeping menus spotless and entry doors clean. As a pivotal part of the customer service team, the Greeter must be attentive to details that contribute to the overall guest satisfaction. Northern Hospitality Group offers this role as a full-time, part-time, or seasonal position, providing flexibility for a wide range of candidates. Furthermore, the role includes opportunities for tipouts as a financial incentive, reflecting the company’s acknowledgment of the crucial role hosts play in operational success. Northern Hospitality Group is also an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in their workforce, strictly prohibiting discrimination of any kind based on race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, and other protected characteristics. Hiring decisions are made purely on qualifications, merit, and business needs. This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic, organized, and possess a passion for hospitality and customer service. If you thrive in a team environment and want to be a part of a reputable company dedicated to delivering an authentic Alaskan hospitality experience, the Greeter position at Northern Hospitality Group offers an exciting career opportunity with room for growth and meaningful contribution.
