This key role is essential for maintaining the organization and upkeep of the vehicle inventory on the lot while providing outstanding customer service and support to the sales team. The Automotive Sales Porter will act as a vital link between the sales managers and dealership operations, ensuring that vehicles are efficiently moved, properly displayed, and well maintained at all times. This role requires a dependable individual with a professional demeanor who can communicate effectively with different team members as well as with customers during vehicle deliveries. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a high school diploma or GED, hold an unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record, and display a positive attitude and professional appearance. Candidates need to be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold, and must be skilled in driving both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Experience as a valet or familiarity with automotive servicing and repair is considered a plus. As a Sales Porter, duties encompass keeping the vehicle lot orderly, assisting with customer deliveries, ensuring all vehicles have proper window stickers, and that the inventory is always in good repair. Additionally, the Sales Porter will handle customer concerns when possible or escalate issues properly, adhere strictly to safety guidelines and road regulations, and generally support the smooth operational flow of the dealership.
