Reporting directly to the Project President, this role holds comprehensive responsibility for managing all club activities and maintaining strong relationships with members, guests, employees, management teams, community stakeholders, and vendors. The General Manager personifies the club brand and is seen as the 'face of the club,' expected to attend all key events and foster a vibrant community atmosphere. This leadership role demands a proactive approach in staff recruitment, training, and development, while upholding a high service standard across all departments. Key performance indicators (KPIs) will be used to measure success, emphasizing operational excellence, member satisfaction, and financial performance. This leadership role requires extensive experience in managing luxury surf amenities, resorts, private clubs, or residential communities, particularly with expertise in pre-opening phases and organizational development. Exceptional project management skills are crucial to oversee complex development projects while keeping operations aligned with brand standards, scheduled on time, and within budget. The General Manager must exhibit strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with senior management, marketing, and membership teams to grow the club's brand presence and attract a selective clientele, enhancing both the member and guest experience.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in hospitality management, is desired
• A Master of Business Administration degree is preferred
• In lieu of the degree, substantial private club, surf, and/or hospitality experience will be considered
• Industry certifications such as CCM, CCE or CAM are encouraged but not required
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to stay calm and focused during busy times
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
