The General Manager (GM) role at RealManage Elevated Onsite serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Homeowners Association, charged with full responsibility for day-to-day operations. The GM oversees all activities and relationships between the Association, Board of Directors, members, guests, employees, the community, government entities, and industry stakeholders. This leadership position demands a dynamic and experienced professional who possesses a strong passion for delivering exceptional guest and member services, coupled with superior business acumen, planning, and organizational capabilities.
The community managed by this position is Point West Resort, a prestigious 1000-acre property located on the western end of Galveston Island. Opened in 2006, Point West Resort is a sought-after destination that caters to tourists, weekend visitors, and families alike. This premier community features about 600 residences, including cottages, condominiums, and custom homes, all with beach access and beautiful ocean views. Amenities include a Beach Club with an infinity pool, hot tub, kiddie pool, fitness center, a game room, restaurant and bar, gift shop, gas grills and rentable cabanas, and a Sunset Pool featuring a lazy river, hot tub, fire pit, and poolside grills. The beach area spans over a mile and is well-maintained, especially during seasonal sargassum seaweed periods, ensuring a clean and enjoyable environment.
The General Manager will act as the primary point of contact responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, courtesy, cleanliness, and efficiency within the community. The role includes conducting frequent site inspections, providing exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns, and maintaining a strong visible presence throughout the community. The GM will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all community policies and procedures set forth by the Board of Directors, developing and approving operational policies, methods, and regulations, and overseeing the work of department managers.
Strategically, the GM plays a critical role in financial stewardship by driving the development of operating, cash, and capital budgets, monitoring budget compliance through regular checkpoints, and preparing timely monthly financial reports to the Board. The GM will coordinate long-range business planning that aligns with association by-laws and policies and continuously monitor and recommend improvements for association programs and processes. Protecting association assets, fostering ongoing communication with members for input and feedback, and collaborating closely with the Board of Directors on strategic initiatives complete this multifaceted leadership role.
This position offers a full-time opportunity in Galveston, TX, with an annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000. - Minimum of five (5) years Homeowner Association (HOA) management experience with onsite exposure
- Experience managing aging master associations with condominium sub-associations
- CAM license preferred
- CMCA designation preferred
- Hospitality or club management background is a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred or Associates degree with relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Effective organizational and delegation skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
- Solid ability to explain financial documents
- Ability to maintain composure and productivity under deadlines
