Responsibilities extend beyond food preparation to include cleaning of hallways, stairways, bathrooms, and other communal areas, managing laundry services for crewmembers, and tracking inventory and usage of supplies. The position demands a candidate with a minimum of one year of experience in high-volume kitchen preparation or as a prep cook, a current state food handlers' permit, and a positive attitude when interacting with fellow crewmembers. Physical stamina is essential due to the nature of maritime work requiring climbing ladders and carrying heavy items, sometimes in extreme weather conditions. The work schedule is demanding, with shifts of 12 hours or more for the entire trip, including times of loading and unloading. The compensation is crew-share based and estimated between $6,000 and $8,000 per month, reflecting the extended time commitment and responsibility. • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
