Greensboro, NC, USA, NC Full-Time $13 - $14
Our company is a distinguished entity within the hospitality industry, known for delivering exceptional guest services and creating memorable experiences. We operate a boutique hotel with an intimate setting that includes a charming 5-seat bar, catering to guests seeking a personalized and welcoming environment. Our hotel prides itself on blending comfort, convenience, and ambiance to ensure every guest feels uniquely valued from the moment they enter our doors until their departure. The position of Guest Service Representative/Bartender is a pivotal role within our establishment, combining front desk operations with bartending responsibilities. As the first and last impression on our guests, this role demands a friendly, personable individual capable of engaging and connecting with diverse clientele. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, overseeing front desk duties, managing market sales, and providing excellent service at our small bar. This hybrid position offers an hourly wage based on experience within the hospitality sector, particularly with Marriott or similar brands, and bar knowledge. Shift hours are from 3:30 PM to 10:30 PM, ensuring ample time for setup, bar operations, closing, and cleaning. Shift rotations mean during slower seasons the representative may run the bar independently. In this role, you will embody the spirit of hospitality by greeting guests warmly and promptly serving bar patrons while managing administrative tasks with precision. Responsibilities extend beyond typical front desk duties to include cash handling, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, guest registrations, and market inventory. A significant component of the position is promoting the hotel’s loyalty program and assisting guests with information about local attractions and hotel facilities. The role requires confidentiality, integrity in handling guest information, and the ability to resolve guest complaints efficiently and professionally. We seek candidates who are passionate about hospitality, have a flair for customer interaction, and are comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer systems, knowledge of MS Office, and familiarity with brand-specific operating systems such as EMC, Oracle, or MICROS will be advantageous. While TIPS certification is desirable, it is not mandatory as the company will provide and fund training if necessary. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a diverse skill set in guest services and bartending within a supportive and dynamic hotel setting, complete with competitive benefits and a welcoming team environment.
