The role involves preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Harris Teeter's Fresh Foods Standards, as well as maintaining cleanliness and order in work areas. Key duties include preparing baked goods such as bread, rolls, muffins, pies, cakes, and cookies, decorating cakes and party trays, and cooking meats like poultry, pork, and beef to meet quality standards. The associate will also be responsible for customer interactions on the sales floor and counter, providing information on products, fulfilling special requests, and promoting sales through positive engagement. Handling phone inquiries with professionalism, following food safety and sanitation policies, and ensuring proper refrigeration and stock rotation are critical components of the role. In addition, the associate will support store operations by unloading and stocking deliveries, managing inventory processes, and adhering to all safety and company policies.
