The Janitor role at Controlled Contamination Services plays a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the company’s interior facilities. This position focuses on general maintenance cleaning tasks across buildings, lobbies, office areas, restrooms, and any other spaces assigned either by contract or supervisory direction. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to strict safety protocols to ensure that all safe practices and company standards are met consistently. The shift for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 pm to 3:30 am, which might be ideal for candidates seeking evening hours. The janitor is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance, hygiene, and safety of the workplaces to support CCS’s mission of delivering robust contamination control services.
The janitorial duties at CCS include trash removal and replacement of liners, floor care including vacuuming, mopping, stripping, waxing, and sweeping various surface types. The role also entails dusting, cleaning glass, polishing, sanitizing, and disinfecting workspace areas. Additional responsibilities include spotting and cleaning walls, reporting maintenance issues or any hazardous conditions, and promptly communicating any damage, suspicious activity, or unsafe situations to supervisors. The job requires compliance with all safety regulations and internal policies, ensuring a secure work environment for everyone.
To be successful, a candidate should have at least a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience and training. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division involving American currency and measurement units, are important. Physically, the role demands the ability to stand, walk, lift or climb up to 40 pounds, and work in loud environments, using hands efficiently for tasks that require fine motor skills.
