Brown Eagle is currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis, providing crucial support within finished product warehouses and production areas. This position requires individuals who can safely and efficiently handle the shipping, receiving, and storage of packaged goods while ensuring all related paperwork and SAP transactions are accurately completed. The role is critical in upholding the company’s promise of delivery excellence and operational precision.
The Forklift Operator’s primary responsibility is to conduct safe operations in moving and loading products, particularly in environments with drive-in racking systems where racks can reach heights of up to 32 feet. Operators will use handheld scanners paired with SAP software to manage inventory relocations and comparisons between shipment data and documentation such as bills of lading and invoices.
In addition to handling materials, operators are expected to maintain high safety standards by inspecting equipment such as dock locks, dock plates, and yard tractors, reporting any malfunctions to the logistics supervisor immediately. They will also perform warehouse housekeeping tasks, including operating floor scrubbers and refurbishing warehouse areas as assigned. The role demands keen hearing capabilities to recognize signal horns of moving equipment and an organized approach to staging and loading shipments for Just-In-Time deliveries.
