The role of Front Desk Receptionist at SSJC is pivotal in fostering a welcoming and efficient patient experience. Located primarily within Region 18 clinic locations, this part-time position (2 days per week) requires an individual who can balance administrative duties with essential clinical responsibilities in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) environment. Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, the Front Desk Receptionist will act as the first point of contact for patients, handling critical tasks including patient check-in, insurance verification, copayment collection, and patient check-out procedures. This position demands a detail-oriented professional capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to problem-solve efficiently.
In addition to clerical functions, this role requires comfort and competence with clinical tasks such as seeing and handling blood and assisting within the ASC. The candidate must be adaptable, willing to cross-train on all clinical responsibilities, and capable of traveling between different locations to meet coverage needs. This position offers the chance to develop valuable clinical and administrative skills while contributing to a supportive patient care environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic health records systems like eClinicalWorks, possess at least one year of clinical experience, and hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. With operating hours in Region 18 including Warner Robins on Mondays from 8 am to 5 pm, the Front Desk Receptionist will become an integral member of the SSJC team, helping to advance the center’s goal of superior patient care and service excellence.
