The Front Desk Attendant position at Amigos de Guadalupe is a pivotal role within the Interim Housing Program, designed to serve guests with professionalism and care in the hotel program. This full-time, non-exempt position functions primarily during evening and late-night hours, from Saturday to Wednesday, 6 PM to 2:30 AM, offering an hourly wage of $30 along with eligibility for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k plan. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Front Desk Attendant is responsible for managing all front desk operations, acting as the crucial first point of contact for clients and visitors. This role entails checking guests in and out, managing room key distribution, reservation communications, and responding promptly to client concerns, thereby ensuring a welcoming and safe environment.
Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional team leadership and strong interpersonal skills, effectively supporting case managers and contributing to the overall goals of both the program and families served. The Attendant must possess the ability to think swiftly and handle emergency situations by de-escalating conflicts or concerns that arise. Daily responsibilities also extend to close coordination with housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness and readiness of guest rooms, regular patrols of the property to monitor safety, and timely reporting on any security incidents or suspicious activities. The role demands vigilance, customer service excellence, and a sound judgment to maintain the highest standards of security and hospitality.  - Ability to stand for up to 4 hours
