The HarbourView Inn is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Guest Services Agent / Concierge to join its front desk team on a full-time basis. The position offers a competitive wage of $16.00 per hour and requires flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends, ensuring guests receive top-tier service at all times. As a respected member of the hospitality team, the Guest Services Agent / Concierge is responsible for delivering superior customer service from the moment guests check-in until their departure. This multifaceted role involves managing guest registrations and check-outs efficiently and professionally, answering phone calls promptly with accurate and helpful information, and providing concierge services that include organizing arrangements for dining, entertainment, local tours, transportation, and other guest needs. The ideal candidate will possess prior hotel experience and a strong knowledge of Charleston’s attractions and dining options, enabling them to enrich the guest experience with personalized recommendations and thoughtful assistance. Beyond customer interaction, the Guest Services Agent / Concierge is responsible for administrative and operational functions such as performing pre-assignments of hotel rooms, handling cash and credit transactions while balancing the daily shift bank, ensuring compliance with credit policies, and managing lost and found items with thorough documentation. The role also demands maintaining strict adherence to the hotel’s key control policies, staying knowledgeable about fire and emergency procedures, and actively participating in monthly department meetings.
