As a room attendant team member responsible for guest check-ins and check-outs, your duties will include processing guest arrivals by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. You will manage all payment transactions accurately, including charges for lodging, cash payments, checks, and credit or debit card payments. Handling guest inquiries, requests, and issues with professionalism and promptness will be a significant part of your responsibilities. Working closely with housekeeping to ensure rooms are impeccably prepared for new guests is another vital aspect of the role. Additionally, you will communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors, coordinate with bell services personnel as needed, and provide guests with information about hotel amenities and local attractions to enhance their stay. Preparing accurate daily reports on guest arrivals and departures, balancing cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, and following company policies for safety, security, and confidentiality are also critical functions of this position. Beyond technical skills, the role demands professionalism in appearance, excellent communication using clear and courteous language, and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with team members. The physical component involves occasional standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
