The role of a Front Desk Agent at Perspective Hospitality is a pivotal position within the hotel's operations. This role requires the agent to be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring each interaction is handled with courtesy, professionalism, and efficiency. Front Desk Agents are tasked with greeting, registering, and checking out guests seamlessly, managing reservation systems and phone operations, and being knowledgeable about all hotel departments and local attractions. The position demands a thorough knowledge of check-in and check-out procedures, room charges, rate policies, and handling various guest needs including walk-ins, group arrivals, and special requests. Each agent is expected to maintain control over important items such as room and departmental keys, the safe keys according to the property’s procedures, and manage the cash drawer with accuracy. Safety and emergency protocols are also a critical part of the responsibilities, alongside maintaining communication with housekeeping for coordinating guest departures and special requests.
Moreover, Front Desk Agents are responsible for keeping clear records by reading logbooks, adhering to departmental procedures, attending meetings, and managing feedback forms from guests to continuously improve service quality. Agents serve as essential liaisons between guests and other hotel departments such as concierge, reservations, and guest services, ensuring an integrated and smooth guest experience. This role requires strong knowledge of the hotel's facilities, neighborhood, and packages or discounts available to guests, all while consistently upholding the highest standards of hospitality and customer care. - High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- previous experience in front desk, reservations, concierge, bell desk or night audit
