The Operations Staff position is a part-time, hourly role that offers $17.00 per hour and reports directly to the Operations Manager, working within the operations department of the facility.
In this dynamic role, the Operations Staff member will play an integral part in the preparation, maintenance, and overall functionality of the facility during events. The position requires a dedicated individual capable of performing both skilled and semi-skilled tasks involving heavy physical exertion such as lifting, moving, and setting up event configurations. The role involves various hands-on duties including setting up, conversion activities, and assisting with event preparations to ensure the facility operates smoothly. Responsibilities encompass loading and unloading delivery trucks, transporting waste, performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and maintaining the cleanliness and inventory of tools and equipment. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires working extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays to support facility operations according to event demands.
Candidates pursuing this role must be at least 18 years old and have completed high school or hold an equivalent diploma. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are required to effectively follow instructions, interact with team members, clients, and patrons, and maintain an environment of safety and professionalism. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, exercise judgment, and remain flexible under pressure are fundamental for success in this position. Knowledge of event setup procedures, cleaning methods, facility maintenance, and proper handling of hand and power tools is highly valued. The role demands physical stamina, as employees will need to engage in strenuous physical activities including climbing, carrying, and moving heavy objects, often under adverse conditions involving noise, fumes, and variable weather.
