The current opening is for the position of Food Service Worker II, a regular full-time, nonexempt role within the Food Service department at the Corpus Christi location. The Food Service Worker II is responsible for performing moderately complex food service tasks on assigned shifts including rotation between the central kitchen and satellite kitchens or serving areas. Under general supervision, duties involve preparing, portioning, distributing, and serving food for regular and therapeutic diets in compliance with all relevant state, federal, and HACCP guidelines. This role demands meticulous food safety practices, adherence to sanitation protocols, and the ability to maintain detailed records. The Food Service Worker II may also train and oversee the work of other food service staff, contributing to a knowledgeable and efficient team. Working shifts primarily during the day, with additional day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed, this position requires flexibility and a commitment to the facility’s mission.
