The Food Service Supervisor role at Cabell Huntington Hospital is a full-time position within the Food Service Department, reporting directly to the Director of Food Service. This position is essential in coordinating and supervising the production and patient care staff to ensure the efficient operation of food services within the hospital. The supervisor acts as the head of the department in the absence of both the Director and the Assistant Director Executive Chef, thereby holding significant responsibility in daily departmental management. Apart from overseeing staff activities, the Food Service Supervisor also interacts and coordinates with other hospital departments to streamline operations and provide quality service to patients and staff.
This role requires a candidate who can blend effective management skills with knowledge of food safety and nutrition. The supervisor will ensure all food service operations comply with health regulations and hospital standards. - high school diploma or equivalent required
- bachelor’s degree nutrition, home economics, food service management, or hospitality preferred
- food handling certificate recognized by Cabell County Health Department on employment and updates as required by county mandate or Serv Safe certification required
- Serv Safe certification must be obtained within one year of employment and certification kept current
- minimum two years of management experience required
