The Food Service Cook role at SSA Group reports directly to the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef(s), and Executive Chef. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily restaurant operations by preparing food, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and ensuring that service runs smoothly and efficiently. The Food Service Cook is responsible for supporting the back-of-house (BOH) and line operations, adhering to daily prep lists, and properly setting food quantities for service. The role also involves participation in safety and quality logs, including temperature monitoring, food rotation, and waste management. Maintaining proper hygiene and uniform standards is essential, as is fostering a safe work environment through strict adherence to safety protocols. This position requires active collaboration with supervisors and team members to address guest feedback promptly and uphold high service standards. The Food Service Cook’s duties extend beyond food preparation to assisting with dishwashing and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
