The role of a Food Server at The Village is essential in delivering superior dining experiences to residents. The Food Server's responsibilities begin with attentively taking orders, serving drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts, and extend to maintaining cleanliness and resetting assigned tables efficiently. The position demands a friendly, fast, and efficient service style, with a thorough knowledge of daily and weekly menus to positively and enthusiastically describe food selections. The Food Server must frequently check in on residents during their visit to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to all needs. Additional duties include bussing tables, completing side work, and assisting with pantry, hostess, or expo tasks as needed. The role supports a team-oriented work culture and requires maintaining a professional demeanor by avoiding personal conversations when attending to residents or guests. Time management, attention to detail, and a commitment to community-oriented goals are critical aspects of this role.
